Getting Granite Countertops is Easy
At Westwood we work hard to make granite installation in your home or business as easy as possible. Thanks to our experienced staff the process can be done quickly and easily. We’ll guide you through the entire process. Here’s what you can expect when working with Westwood: 1. Call us for a free quote - (435) 673-1234
We will set up an appointment to come over to your home to give you a concrete quote. Our trained staff will come prepared to answer any questions you have about options, the process, and even design. 2. Accept the QuoteOnce you feel comfortable and ready to commit to the project, we require a 50% deposit when the contract is signed or when we come to template. 3. TemplateWithin 48 hours of signing with us, we will contact you to arrange your template. The templating takes about 30 - 60 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of your countertops. We use 3 inch pieces of wood, glued together, to make a mold over your existing countertops or cabinets that is used to cut the granite pieces out. This ensures the best fit and quality with minimal on-site adjustments. 4. FabricationWe take your template, set it on top of the granite slab, and then cut the pieces out. Once cut, your pieces are sent to “fabrication”. The fabricator shapes your edge profile using a router and/or grinding stones. He also cuts out the sinks and grinds the roughness of the stone down. Your granite pieces pass one more craftsmen, the polisher. His job is to make the granite smooth and shiny. 5. InstallationYou’ll receive a call from our staff to set up an install appointment, always at your convenience. Our install crew will take care of the rest, starting with removal of your existing countertops (if you have any), then setting the pieces and the sink in place, and cleaning and sealing up the tops. Unlike our competitors, we use a 15 year industrial grade sealer, not the 1 year consumer grade sealer commonly used. This ensures your countertops will look and perform beautifully for years to come. 6. Follow UpA member of our staff will stop by or call to confirm your happiness with our work. Your satisfaction is the only thing that matters, which is why we go to great lengths to find out how your experience was. ![]() |
